Howard & Yvonne Of Sterling Karaoke Throw a great party Every Friday and Saturday in Gresham. They have everything a singer could want and more is right there. Huge song selection, great sound system, good wireless microphones, clean and fun smoke free environment and oh yeah, A host that actually knows his job. Howard is one of the most accommodating hosts ever to work a sound board. All the guests at Another Round are sure to keep coming back for more. I give this show 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Sterling Karaoke is operated by Howard and Yvonne Stiff. On a recent Saturday evening, this writer and friend Lauree Carlsen cruised out to Another Round, the restaurant and lounge at the Gresham Golf Course on Division St. Howard and Yvonne run the show Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 9 p.m.
Howard and Yvonne bring a top-of-the-line sound system to support singers and enhance the entertainment for others. As KJs, they are hip, attentive and professional. Both Howard and Yvonne also sing and they even blend their differing styles nicely in an occasional duet.
The list is updated on a monthly basis and Howard says he will be receiving some new October, 2007 releases soon! Because many songs are recorded in different versions, key signatures, etc., Howard says he always tries to pick the best version to include in the selections offered.
A special feature offered by Sterling Karaoke is proprietary programming that allows guests to locate their favorite songs on the computer and print them out on a personalized song list. The guest singer’s name, song title and number and featured artist from the well-known version are included on the list. What a great idea! This writer has not loaded up a list yet, but when that gets done, it’ll look like the cartoon of Santa’s gift list, unrolling all the way down and across the floor!
Howard and Yvonne are pleased when their guests find lots of tunes to do. “Our song selection is filled with songs singers really sing,” informs Howard.
Yvonne sang a lovely old Otis Redding tune and Howard performed a tune called Moments. That tune particularly affected this writer because it tells a hypothetical but entirely likely tale about an encounter with a homeless Vietnam veteran down on life. The vet says he hasn’t always been like this. “I’ve had my moments,” he asserts. Even non-veterans might weep privately, repeating those words.
Some guests have followed Howard and Yvonne for years; Howard wants to give special mention to Brian The Reverend and Jen The Princess. Friend and PE writer Lauree Carlsen sang a wonderful version of the classic Johnny Mercer tune, Skylark, a real beauty. She and this writer both sang several tunes and a duet on As Tears Go By.

Best Karaoke

We went there on a saturday night the place was so busy and after staying all night we found out why the Karoake is great excellent sound and any song you want they have it. After talking to Howard the Owner of the Karaoke Show He said he believes in making sure his customers have the song selection they want and make sure they always sound good. Thank you Howard you are great!!!!
